On the left bank of the Daugava River the 18.5 m chalk cliff and spring of Staburags used to be found. Staburags was flooded in 1966 due to the construction of the Pļaviņas Hydro Power Plant. To remember Staburags cliff the sculpture “God’s Ear” was commissioned. The memorial sign is surrounded by vast plantations of daylilies. The park includes walking trails, a boat launch, sculpture “Daina”, as well as a pergola dedicated to composer P. Barisons. Tent and picnic areas are available.
